Upgrade of Povl Anker

A few months ago, we completed a major upgrade of Povl Anker. After a 6 weeks yards stay the Ferry headed home to Bornholm looking like the vessel did in 1978 when it was first delivered. The old paint has been completely removed with Ultra-High Pressure water blasting robots and then painted in original design. Throughout the yard stay maintenance and class-related work was performed, as well as, Ballast Water Treatment System installation, replacement of 3 auxiliary engines including new foundations and generators, exchange of the old traditional steam boiler with a new hot water boiler system, power management system upgrade, and overhaul of the propellers.
