We keep the fishing industry afloat

In the fishing industry, it’s all about trust and strong relationships. Drawing on decades of experience in repairing and refitting pelagic and factory trawlers, we take pride in serving the vessels of our many loyal customers, often traveling long distances to benefit from our know-how and facilities.

Fishing vessels typically visit us during the first months of the year, and 2025 is no different. In February, we had the privilege of welcoming no fewer than three large trawlers to our docks in Frederikshavn: “Polar Qaasiut”, “Regina C”, and “Senior”. Each has undergone planned maintenance along with a wide range of repairs and upgrades.

All our subcontractors are located within a one-hour drive, and many have been our trusted partners for so long that we consider them close colleagues. These long-standing relationships provide exceptional flexibility, allowing us to respond quickly whenever unexpected challenges arise,” says Jan Henry Sørensen, Sales Manager.

At Orskov Yard, we have serviced nearly 70 fishing vessels in the last five years, many of which require complex repairs and refits to be completed within tight schedules, where adherence to fixed departure dates is crucial.
